Dahlia Days and Blooms for Babes at Airy Point Farms
In 2021, we had just learned that we were expecting our long-awaited second child. We wondered at God’s timing, in the midst of our busy flower season, but forged ahead with plans of farmstand and wedding florals with hope and joy in our hearts. We learned to adjust and to ask for help, and were so grateful for the support from the community around us.
And then, there he was – our perfect, sweet baby boy. Our hearts overflowed. Our daughter was living her dream of being the best big sister. My little entourage tagging along at wedding floral installations; Derek’s littlest pumpkin in the patch. It was hectic and messy but we were making it work. Mostly we were just caught up in pure newborn bliss.
And then, everything ground to a halt.
