One of my favorite things about living in Mississippi was meeting clients at local coffee shops before I had my own office. It taught me to appreciate having a dedicated space outside of the home or a cubicle—somewhere designed for focus and creativity. I’ve always worked best in a thoughtfully curated environment. Coffee shops were not only my workspace but also the heart of my networking, where I met new people, formed friendships, and built the foundation of my client base. *Shout out to Dolce Bakeshop I miss ya’ll so much! 
When we moved to Wisconsin, I continued this tradition. I’ve explored many local coffee shops for meetings, and over time, I’ve developed relationships with fellow regulars, owners, and the incredible teams behind these cozy spots. While there are plenty of great coffee shops in town, I find myself gravitating toward CC’s Chocolates Cafe more often than not.
This summer, I did get an office space, and with the warmer weather and having my intern (my daughter) with me most days, I haven’t been visiting coffee shops nearly as much. But now that we’re settled back into the routine with school starting, I was excited to dive back into coffee shop meetings. Lately, I’ve been there quite a bit, between growing my team and adding agents, meeting with new clients, and just getting some work done when I’m in the area. It’s been refreshing to reconnect with the space and the people there. 
Since discovering CC’s, I’ve become a regular, and I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know the owner, Claudette. You can truly see the love she pours into her business and the local community—it’s inspiring. I always look forward to popping in, knowing it’ll likely turn into a friendly chat and a great start to my day. In fact, I love the atmosphere so much that I’ve even updated my Calendly to offer CC’s as a designated meeting spot for client meetups.
My go-to drink is the caramel macchiato (yes, I’m embracing my millennial status), and I have to say, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Claudette’s homemade chai tea is also a must-try—you can taste the care and love that goes into it.
