At Fondy Famous, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many amazing local businesses, and one partnership that stands out is with Amanda Bauer-Frisch and her incredible store, Quilting Legacies at Stitches ‘N Tyme.
Early in my journey, I was searching for people to collaborate with—those who could inspire me, share ideas, and help me grow. That’s when Amanda came into the picture, offering not only feedback but also motivation with her passion and drive. In fact, Quilting Legacies was one of the first businesses I featured last year. Special thanks to Kelsey, who coordinated the feature and even put together a beautiful gift basket to kick things off! Since then, our connection has flourished, and I’m thrilled to say we now host bi-weekly live videos to promote her store. The response has been amazing, with customers engaging online and even chatting about it in-store.
A New Chapter for Stitches ‘N Tyme
Stitches ‘N Tyme has been a beloved part of the Oakfield and Fond du Lac community for decades. Originally founded by Donna and Jeff Redman, the store was born from the couple’s desire to create something beautiful after the devastation of the Oakfield tornado in 1996. Today, under Amanda’s leadership, Stitches ‘N Tyme continues to thrive while carrying on the original mission of preserving legacies through quilting and craftsmanship.
Products and Community Engagement
The shop offers a wide range of quilting supplies, embroidery designs, sewing kits, and Pfaff sewing machines. In addition, they now carry Small Legacies wooden piggy banks and Navy Paddles, part of Amanda’s larger mission under the umbrella of Enduring Legacy Co.. Amanda’s goal is not only to provide quality products but also to engage the community through expanded classes and workshops. Former owner Donna remains involved, teaching classes alongside a growing team of instructors to cater to various crafting styles.
One initiative that stands out is their #StrongerTogether program, which partners with Oakfield Middle School to create “book pillows” that raise funds for local families in need—another example of Amanda’s commitment to community-building.
A Bright Future
Working with Amanda has been such a rewarding experience. I’ve learned so much from her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to carrying on the store’s mission of preserving legacies. Whether it’s through live video collaborations or engaging with the community, our partnership has grown in ways I couldn’t have imagined—and we’re just getting started!
