Getting Started with Stitches ‘n Tyme
I am a serial crafter and I love all things crafting. I’ve been a small business owner for about four years and over the summer the quilt shop came for sale. I lived nearby and it felt like the perfect fit. So we officially jumped on board about two weeks ago and it’s been a great journey so far.
Shop Refresh and New Classes
We did a total rearrange of the shop and a refresh. It’s bright and sunny in here. We also have hired two new quilting teachers, so in the new year we’re gonna offer more classes, more introductory type classes for sewing and quilting and we’re just excited to have this shop be a community for people who love to craft.
Fixing Sewing Machines and In-House Service Department
We offer the full line of Pfaff sewing machines and embroidery machines. And then we also have an in-house service department, which is very rare in the sewing machine world. So we have people from all over the state, some people even from around the country that bring their machine here specifically to get fixed because they know it’s in good hands.
Expanding Classes and Welcoming Beginners
We have a full line of embroidery classes that have been very successful. And we hope to expand on those. Those classes are more for experienced sewers, so we’re trying to open up for some entry-level people who want to get into the hobby and just don’t know where to begin. It can be overwhelming. So having a hands-on class sounds like such a fantastic opportunity for people to learn.
Wide Range of Sewing Notions and Supplies
We have a variety of sewing notions and supplies. We are well-known around the state for having gorgeous Christmas fabrics that are hard to find anywhere else. We also offer laser engraving gifts like mugs and other items in the shop. But our primary focus here is crafting overall.
The Joy of Crafting and Quilting
They love picking out fabrics, seeing how the pattern comes together, and putting a stamp on it. That part is super fun. Just the creative outlet of it. Crafting is all about community and learning new skills together. It’s a great way to connect with others who share the same passion.
Stitchin’ Together and Building Community
Donna, the previous owner, has classes of ladies that meet every month. They bring their machines and learn new skills. That sense of community and learning together is what crafting is all about. It’s a great opportunity to meet with people doing the same thing and building connections. Crafting is a way to bond and share experiences with others.

We have a dedicated room in the shop where classes and crafting sessions take place. It’s a comfortable and inviting workspace for people to come together and work on their projects. We believe in providing a welcoming environment for crafters to feel inspired and supported.

One of our specialties is our wide selection of beautiful Christmas fabrics. These fabrics are unique and hard to find elsewhere. We have become known for our stunning collection, and many visitors specifically come to our shop looking for these fabrics. It’s a great opportunity to add a festive touch to your holiday projects.
